Ancelotti might become the most honoured Champions coach in the Lisbon Final

Carlo Ancelotti has won a 'Copa del Rey' title against Barcelona and a Champions League Final qualification during his first season in Real Madrid. The Italian coach, Only in 10 months, has realized a dream for the Real Madrid fans which is to qualify for the final of the Champions League in order to, perhaps, achieve the 10th Champions League cup, paramount for all Real Madrid fans.

??It will be the fourth occasion in which the Italian coach has reached the final of the most important final of continental competition after playing it on three different ocassions with Milan, the club with which he won it in 2003 against Juventus and in 2007 against Liverpool. This same club beat him two years before (penalties).??

Ancelotti is the fourth coach to achieve four finals after Miguel Muñoz with Real Madrid; Marcello Lippi with Juventus and Sir Alex Ferguson with Manchester United. Furthermore, he joins Ernst Happel, Ottmar Hitzfield, José Mourinho and Jupp Heynckes as a manager who has won the title with two different teams.??

The experienced coach from Reggiolo has the possibility of winning the Champions League title on a third occasion and become, next to Bob Paisley (who won with Liverpool in 1977, 1978 and 1981), the coach with the most Champions League titles, if he beats Atlético Madrid on the coming 24th of May.

??Ancelotti is also one of six who have won the most important continental trophy as both coach and a player. As a Milan midfielder with Sacchi, won it in 1989 and 1990, the same two finals that he won as a coach in 2003 and 2007. In this select group we find names such as Miguel Muñoz, Frank Rijkaard, Pep Guardiola, Johan Cruyff and Trapattoni.
